It flew...

The Yak flew well and the 3W was just awesome - 2 flip of the prop and it'd start right up! I need to dial it in for the IMAC sequence now...don't know if I can do it by Sunday.

Still waiting...

I'm still waiting for the parts to come so I can custom make my header. Finished clear coating the cowling...pretty nice!

TrueFire

My first crack at airbrushing TrueFire...not bad I think since I only have a cheapy plastic single action airbrush. I think a couple fresh clear coat will jazz it up!

The Foamie Thing!

I've been getting back into the indoor F3P lately. With some help from the guys on RCGroups, I've found a place in Melbourne to buy Depron, much cheaper than the local hobbyshop. I've just cooked up this SU-29 this afternoon. A bit more reinforcement, some paint, and she'll be ready!

SD Model Yak-54

Picked up an un-covered 30% SD Model Yak-54 awhile ago for a good price. I've done a lot of work to the airframe to stiff it up including replacing wood stringers with carbon rods. Also cut my new scheme with Ultracote. All the graphics are also cut out of Ultracote as well.



In the process of airbrushing some TruFire on the cowling now. I'm still waiting for some MTW custom header parts to come so I can fabricate a custom job for a clean cannister installation. I can't wait to push this baby around...summer is here finally!

H9 Showtime 4D on the Juice!

This is not just any Showtime 4D - this baby has a 26cc gas motor running on a GLOW plug...that's right! My friend Vu is a master with engine - he came up with the special fuel blend to make this run so smooth, smoother than any ignition gasser I've flown so far!
